Sponsorship of inventors' clubs in the anniversary year 2023

JUMO supports Children's Academy Fulda

JUMO celebrates its 75th birthday in 2023. Since its founding in 1948, supporting young people has been a central theme for the owner family. Thus, in the last 25 years alone, more than 800 junior employees have been trained at JUMO in Fulda. To mark the company's anniversary, the company is entering into a cooperation with the Fulda Children's Academy next year. The contract has now been signed by the project partners.

JUMO has already supported the Children's Academy in Fulda in the past and attaches great importance to projects that have a sustainable impact and focus on MINT content (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, technology). In 2023, JUMO will assume the project costs for the Inventors' Club of the Children's Academy. "One of the main goals of the Inventors' Club is to develop in children and young people an interest in their own research, and to discover and promote talents. Many children and young people take part in the inventors' clubs over many years and constantly expand their skills," explains Dr. Yvonne Petrina, Managing Director of the Children's Academy Fulda. A total of eight inventor clubs are planned for 2023, each taking place on twelve consecutive dates per half-year. The funding amounts to around 30,000 euros.

JUMO Managing Director Dimitrios Charisiadis emphasized the great importance of regional commitment at the signing of the contract. "As a family business, JUMO is rooted in eastern Hesse. Here we have become an internationally active group of companies and here we will continue to grow with our new building in Rodges."

Supporting the Children's Academy on the occasion of the company's 75th anniversary is also a way of saying thank you for the support JUMO has received at the local and regional level over the past decades. "At the same time, we see the projects of the Children's Academy as an active contribution to counteracting the shortage of skilled workers directly on site at an early stage. We can't start early enough to get children excited about technology," added JUMO Managing Director Dr. Steffen Hoßfeld.

The sponsorship of the Children's Academy is the starting signal for an extensive program with numerous activities that JUMO will carry out in its anniversary year.
