A new chapter in the lives of 49 young people: They started an apprenticeship, an annual internship or a dual study programme at JUMO. This means that interest in an apprenticeship at JUMO remains high: last year, 51 junior employees started at the family-owned company.
The future specialists were warmly welcomed to the JUMO family by Managing Director Dr. Steffen Hoßfeld, HR Manager Alexandra Dantmann, Deputy Chairman of the Works Council Harald Kaib and the trainers Tamara Stauch (commercial area) and Frank Blasinger (industrial/technical professions). "The consistently high number shows how popular training or studying at JUMO is," says Alexandra Dantmann. "The word is also getting around among young people about the spirit of partnership in the company and the numerous social benefits we offer," adds Dantmann.
A few weeks ago, the new colleagues had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the high-tech company JUMO on two days. This should give them a perfect start. Of the 49 new recruits, 22 are starting an apprenticeship in industrial-technical occupations, 7 are starting as industrial clerks, 4 as IT specialists, 11 as dual students and 5 as FOS interns.
To strengthen the team building and motivation of the new trainees, numerous joint activities are organised during the first week of training. For example, the big get-to-know-you day with a hike, action games and a cosy get-together certainly generates a positive response. "These smaller events with various tasks strengthen team spirit," says trainer Frank Blasinger.
